Récréation

Dialects Dialogues PR-foto dubbelt.jpg

Récréation is the first piece working with baroque dance that I have been part as a choreographer in its creation. It is a explorative research in how to work with baroque dance techniques and qualia but with more contemporary choreographic practices. It travels through the somatic experience of baroque dance, into expanded experiential abstractions of certain steps and twist itself into a monument of ornamentations.

The piece Récréation, is one part of three in the performance Dialects/Dialogues (2017). The performance takes the shape of a dance concert that brings forth a dialogue between the new pieces created by contempoary baroque dance choreographers. All together the performance becomes a palette of the dialects in the field of contemporary baroque dance.
